"LA GIOIA DI VIVERE"
THE 2026 PHOTO GALLERY
OF EAGLEEYEGABOR
This collection is a proposal for the 2026 exhibition. The “Spirit of Manhattan” collection will be presented as a slideshow on a computer screen. The “Spirit of Andalusia” collection will be installed as a black-and-white collage on a wall. Selected pictures from the “Color Collections” will be shown as 60×80 cm “alu-dibond” prints.
SPIRIT OF MANHATTAN
We have a problem with the cityscape. That phrase was on everyone’s lips recently—at least in Germany. As a photographer specializing in street photography, I felt compelled to look for evidence. However, after days of research and reviewing my photos and videos from the past fifteen years, I couldn’t detect any major changes in Germany’s cityscapes, not even at Stuttgart’s Bahnhof 21. I wondered if I should visit cities in other countries to find what I was looking for. Below, I’ll show you photos from Manhattan, Andalusia, India, the Emirates, and Italy.
SPIRIT OF ANDALUSIA
Let’s leave the black-and-white photos behind for now. It’s okay to add a little color.

The colloquial term “photographic memory” is not used uniformly and describes specific memory abilities. Generally, it refers to a person’s ability to recall details of a specific event that are stored in the form of visual perceptions. The person in question feels as though they are seeing the event unfold before them, just like in a photograph. However, a photographic memory in the strict sense does not exist. Eidetic memory is often referred to as photographic memory. I wonder: If someone can remember a photograph well, does that also count as a “photographic memory”?
SPIRIT OF INDIA
Am I a split personality? “Eagleeyegabor” represents photography, “Gabor On Drums” my music, and “Gabor Pox” my literature. My “alter ego” continues to focus on the art of engineering, artificial intelligence, and digital art. (Somehow, art is always part of it.) Thanks to the rise of AI, I’ve been able to integrate new solutions into my artwork. I’ll tell you where that might lead in my book “Artificial Stupidity.” The Crazy.

SPIRIT OF ITALY
I photographed the same subject again and again, yet it always turned out surprisingly different – even though the perspective remained the same. Lago Maggiore, as seen from our house. In the morning, in the evening; in summer, in winter; in fine weather, during a thunderstorm. Eventually, I compiled these images into a video where the transitions were so gradual that the changes were barely perceptible. To be honest, it was totally boring. Recently, however, I created a “Move in Action” version. For this, I selected my own music from the album “Lago Maggiore”. What do you think?

And now for something current and very personal. Over the past few months, I’ve been on an incredible journey through Patagonia. During this time, I experienced some very unusual activity in my photographic memory. How and why? I’ve created a book. It’s not a photo book, but a novel. “Letzte Ausfahrt Patagonien” (by Gabor Pox, currently available only in German) describes an adventure journey through Patagonia. As I wrote it, I could see the images, the landscape and the colours in incredible detail and vividness. But I’ve never been there. I imagined it all and described it. Then I stored my virtual images in my mind. Photographic memory? Does that work even if you don’t write, but just read? I’m offering you an experiment. Read my book, which is available as a paperback in european bookshops and as an e-book on Amazon. Then we can compare the images. Are you in?
